Adam Tripp, MD, PhD

Your care involves us working together you provide your life experiences and perspective, we use our skills and experience in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. Together we will create a treatment plan that we agree will help you reduce your symptoms and yield a greater quality of life. Better Stories currently accepts Aetna, Cigna, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, United, and UPMC commercial insurances.

Shabnam Jindal, DNP

Hello! I am Shabnam you can call me "Shab" and I am excited to be part of the Better Stories team. I graduated from University of Pittsburgh with my undergraduate and graduate degrees. Previously I worked in geriatric psychiatry and with adults with serious mental illness. I have a special interest in adult and older populations and minority populations. I support the use of medications when appropriate and believe the non-medication part is equally as important. I look forward to working together on a treatment plan that works for you!

Sarah Grubbs, CRNP

I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing thoughtful, quality care to individuals across the lifespan. I completed my undergraduate studies at Robert Morris University and went on to obtain my master’s degree at Duquesne University. Additionally, I have 14 years’ experience working as a Registered Nurse on an inpatient behavioral health unit at a community hospital. I believe in a multidisciplinary approach to treating mental health conditions and am looking forward to helping you achieve your treatment/wellness goals.

Alyssa Lane, DNP

Dr. Alyssa Lane is a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. She obtained her doctorate of nursing practice from Robert Morris University in 2023 and has worked with a range of diagnoses, from chronic pain and addiction to mood disorders and psychosis. She spent 8 years as an RN at the VA of Pittsburgh and UPMC Mercy. In her free time, she loves to be with her daughter, fiancé and cats, especially when the weather is warm and time can be spent outside or traveling to fun places such as the beach! She also loves Pittsburgh sports, the holidays, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends. 

Sylvia Boules, MD

Dr. Boules is a child psychiatrist with a special interest in anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. She treats young patients with those conditions and also those with OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, and ADHD.

She speaks English, Spanish, and Arabic."
